Lake Simcoe Cyclones take 2nd in the Heart of York Summer Classic Tournament!
During the blazing hot August 6 & 7 weekend, the Lake Simcoe Cyclones showed that Down does not mean Out. Losing their first game by a slim margin (1-0) against home team Newmarket United A, the Cyclones battled back in full force to beat London teams Norwest Menace (2-1) and Blue Devils (2-1) to advance to the semi-finals, where they triumphed against Barrie Spirit B (3-1) to move on to the final game, again facing Newmarket United A. After an extremely well played game, they caught a couple of unlucky breaks and lost 2-0, but parents and coaches could not have been prouder of the excellent team effort displayed by the Cyclones!
Special thanks to Head Coach Mike; Assistant Coaches Chris & Dave; Managers Nonna and Paula, and, of course, the Lake Simcoe fans, guaranteed loudest cheering section everywhere we go!
