WE PLAY IN THE RAIN!

If the weather is inclement, house league and rep players will still need to head to the field, prepared to play soccer.  LSSC does not call games early in the case of thunder and lightning, as thunder and lightning do not typically last long and the skies could be clear by the time the game starts.  The Civic Centre fields drain quickly, and there is rarely an issues with standing water.

When the referees arrive at the fields, they will inspect their respective pitches.  If they find that the pitch is too wet to safely play at that time, they will call the game and it will be rescheduled for a later date. If the referees deem the field playable and do not call the game, any team short of players will forfeit to the opposing team and the game will not be rescheduled.

In the case of the First Kicks Program, the program coordinator will inspect the pitches at the start of each session and if it is too wet to safely play, the session will  be cancelled.  Cancelled First Kicks sessions will not be rescheduled.

Please click here for further details about our inclement weather policy.

Protect your eyes!

Players requiring eyewear will be allowed to play with sports glasses only – eyewear consisting of glass lenses and/or metal frames will be prohibited on the field as it poses a risk to players.
